Gotta love the 50 year old camera with the 70 year old lens photos! :)
Speed Graphic 4x5 - Hugo Meyer Dopple Anastigmat 135mm f/4.5 (uncoated dialyte) Shot at about f/16 - Lighting from window on overcast day so long exposure - around 20 secs Ilford FP4+ - Developed in D76 Scanned from the negative on a flatbed not intended for 4x5 so the scan kinda sucks and there are newton rings. | More 4x5 action |
[15 Feb 2006|12:00pm] |
Since I'm jumping into Large Format I decided to try processing my own b&w at home also - This is my first 4x5 I processed myself. Scanned from the negative on a flatbed not intended for 4x5 so the scan kinda sucks. ( Larger Version )

My first 4x5 test shot - Graflex Speed Graphic with a semi-broken lens (aperture stuck wide open). I'm getting a new lens hopefully. This was scanned from a 4x5 contact print - no editing or sharpening. ( Larger Version )

| Got a new (old) camera |
[29 Dec 2005|08:03pm] |
Got this today... Graflex Speed Graphic Don't know how old yet, gonna have to check based on the serial, but they were used in the 30's to the 50's commonly.

4x5 film... Need to get a modern lens for it though. The prints from this can be like 3-4 feet wide and still look sharp up close.

...also on Saturday I bought the most ugly analog synthesizer I have ever owned. It rules though. It's a Yamaha CS-40M - for sound, think Vangelis - Blade Runner Soundtrack. Very smooth sounding duophonic thing. Here's a photo from the web:

| New Band Thing |
[19 Oct 2005|06:17pm] |
So as many of you who know me well already know, I'm a guitarist at heart, though I still love the synths, I do miss playing guitar.
Official as of today, I have joined Manda and the Marbles as their new guitarist. http://www.mandaandthemarbles.com/ Addison Records / Go-Kart Records
It's pop punk in the vein of The Ramones meets the Go,Go's and throw in a little Missing Persons and there ya go. A few of my industrial friends may not like it, but hey, it's cool. The band actually also features Elias from Dubok and Pressure : Penetration on Keys.
I'll still make industrial too, but I really love playing guitar, especially punk and rock'n'roll guitar so it should be a lot of fun.

The green seems like a lot... there was this bright green moss on everything, it was actually that green if not more so in reality.

| wanted: Commodore 64('s) |
[08 Jul 2005|02:02pm] |
I'm looking for old commodore 64's. Doesn't matter if they work or not. A power supply for it would be cool too but not necessary. If you're looking to get rid of trash (ie, broken) let me know, i'll take it off your hands. Otherwise I'll give some $ for working ones.
I'm looking for the Commodore 64 keyboard and Power supply only, no need for any addons like drives, etc...

| Columbus Rose Festival |
[15 Jun 2005|07:27am] |
Went to the Columbus Rose Festival. Took some photos. They look like Hallmark. Yeah.
Canon A1 - Fujichrome Velvia <- (this stuff rocks btw for this type of work) Only complaint is some of the reds were a bit too saturated to the point of bleeding and loosing detail.
Let me know what you think.
